Sad, and most unfortunately true. He's just looking for poor inexperienced collectors to stumble across his site and buy up that fake crap (i.e. all that bogus SS insignia.) If he were an honorable and respectable person, he would remove it from his site and destroy it - NOT keep it up for sale...

Gottbergs Uniform again for sale

Good morning,

as this uniform comes up again for sale and several collectors have asked me again what the "Niemann expertise" with the Gottberg uniform means,some short words to explain the situation.
In 2005 I was asked to prepare an expertise for the Gottberg tunic + trousers. I wrote that from my understanding all parts are original, but not nessecarily been together for 50 years. So the value from my point of view is just adding up single items plus some money for a taylor to sew all together. As Mr. Winkler wasn't happy with the expertise he hasn't payd for it and told me he will not use it. But somehow the expertise seems to "wander" with the uniform, but not very surprisingly the expertise never gets mentioned in it's full text and meaning.

Kia’s photos are bullet proof. I don’t thinks there is anyway to download them anymore. I can’t comment on the tunic, as SS is not my area but I do love reading the treads though. Sometimes it is like reading a good detective novel. Anyway, good or bad the collar tabs look identical to the ones that were being discussed and offered by Craig Gottlieb.

Just use the print screen key on your keyboard and paste it into Photoshop or another image program.

A small correction. This uniform does NOT include my expertise, but if you wish you can have one,as I have made one for Kai.
But by now it looks as if Kai is not using it.

Bob, I agree with the great coat tabs. But I would love to get the cuffband ... as this one is on my list. Possible the coat is OK but the tabs are replaced. Who knows ...

Elsewhere recently paper and medals to the same person were offered. Seems all "to do" with him has appeared again suddently, though the German site I don't view so don't know how long it's been there.
